SMI is thrilled to release its newest venture, SHOWCASE MUSIC NETWORK. The Showcase Music Network is designed for artists to increase international exposure while making it easier, and cheaper, for fans to get great music through Music Downloads, Sales Affiliate Program, and Mobile Kiosk.

The MUSIC DOWNLOADS program allows fans to download their favorite album, song, and/or video in real time by using their smart phone to simply scan the barcode provided on Showcase Music Network posters located at select retail outlets and/or venues where fans are taken directly to the SMI website where they can listen to songs on the music player and download content. For added convenience, simply log on the SMI website at www.showcasemi.com/downloads.asp and purchase your items from there. All purchases are protected by a secure PayPal payment system. This is a great opportunity to stay up to date on the latest from your favorite bands and from new artists around the globe. Check back often as SMI will be adding new music to the Showcase Music Network.

Want to reap the rewards from the Showcase Music Network "Music Downloads" program? This is your chance to become a SALES AFFILIATE of the program. Every time an album, song, or video is sold by you, you too, make a percentage of sale. The custom Sales Affiliate software has been designed so others can market and sell artists' products and reap rewards By signing up with the Sales Affiliate program, you get your own scan code that tracks your sales. EPI-Records artist SEVEN CYCLES just finished several dates with national act CHEVELLE promoting their newest album “Hats Off To The Bull”. EPI-Records will be releasing THE FLANAGAN PRECEPT upcoming album “The Call” with a record release party at The Jet in Mill Creek on January 28th. Party starts at 9:00pm so get your copy of the new album early. Beau Hill, co-founding partner of Interscope Records had this to say about TFP's music, "The Flanagan Precept caught my attention with their excellent material, an unusual focus on arrangement details, and progressive melodic hooks...sounds like the recipe for a hit to me.”

Fairs, Festivals, and Tours – Oh My!

Wow what a busy few months for the EPI-Records/Showcase Music Industries stable! Congratulations to EPI-Records Recording Artists UNDERRIDE and SEVEN CYCLES on their tours slated to begin later in the month of August. Underride will support Cold on date while Seven Cycles heads out with Chevelle on multiple dates. Please continue to support our artists as they embark on their tours by calling into radio stations such as Rock94.5 in Spokane, KGRG in Auburn, or KXRX in Tri-Cities and request “Paparazzi” by Underride and “Seize the Day” by Seven Cycles. Let’s send these talented bands out on the road with support from their home base! Way to go, guys!

RIVERBEND, UNDERRIDE and SUPERFEKTA have been invited to and are performing at many of the festivals in the area - check out the Events Calendar at www.showcasemi.com for dates/times. RiverBend and Superfekta are also headlining the 1st Annual Northwest Rockfest presented by KISW’s Loud & Local LIVE at the Evergreen State Fair on September 2nd, performing on the same stage that One Republic and Cheap Trick will be earlier in the week! EPI-Record label mates SYZTEM7 are on that bill as well as are SMI affiliated bands Arisen From Nothing, and Nether. The one and only JEETZ from KISW will be emceeing the daylong event. SMI will be in Wenatchee the week of September 7-8 for CUSP (College University School Partnership) and will have a booth to promote other SMI bands to talent buyers as well and cheering on EPI-Records Recording Artists’ RIVERBEND for their showcase there as well as Showcase Music Industries’ THE FLANAGAN PRECEPT. SMI is very proud to have two artists selected for this annual event as there are many bands coveting those limited spots to showcase their talents.

The Northwest Rock Throwdown Finals are on August 17th where the winner will receive studio time at Jupiter Studios and other cash and prizes. The bands making the final cut are Klover Jane, Nether and Sweet Kiss Momma. Independent Music Industry Executive Vicente Pena will be one of the judges on hand where the winner will be crowned THAT NIGHT at Tulalip Resort Casino. Join us for an exciting, entertaining event beginning at 9:30pm at Canoes Cabaret.

And last but certainly not least, congratulations to THE FLANAGAN PRECEPT, Midstokke and SUPERFEKTA on a rockin’ show at The Hard Rock Café-Seattle! One of the premiere venues in Seattle, we look forward to future performances there!

Showcase Music Industries’ Northwest Rock Throwdown congratulates NETHER on being the winner of Section I! They opened June 1st for EPI-Records Recording Artists Underride and Syztem 7 at Canoes Cabaret at the Tulalip Resort Casino. The competition resumed on June 8th when Jeetz (KISW) was our guest-emcee, filling in for Jeff "The Fish" Aaron (radio personality KJR/Game Time NW). Jeetz will guest-emcee on June 15th as well. This competition is gaining notoriety with the audience and fans of the competing bands alike, so if you haven’t made it out to a show yet, we highly recommend you come and see what all of the buzz is about!

EPI-Records Recording Artists’ RIVERBEND have been invited to showcase for colleges and university talent buyers along with Showcase Music Industries’ THE FLANAGAN PRECEPT. SMI is very proud to have two artists selected for this annual event as there are many bands wanting that opportunity. We will be in Wenatchee the weekend of September 7-8 and will have booth to promote other SMI bands to talent buyers as well!

SLEEP WALKER debuts…

RiverBend’s much anticipated EP SLEEP WALKER is now available and kicks off with a CD Release at The Hard Rock Café in Seattle on April 29th with Klover Jane, and 1 Wish. The Northwest Rock Throwdown is in full swing and Showcase Music Industries/EPI-Records announced their judges for the competition as follows. Eddie Jackson (Queensryche), Mike Savoia (Savoia Digital Concert Photography), Alan White (Yes), Pamela Moore (Queensryche/Solo Artist/Professional Vocal Coach), Joe LaRosee (Producer, Jupiter Studios) and Jeff "The Fish" Aaron (radio personality KJR/Game Time NW ) will host the events. Vicente Pena, independent distribution and marketing consultant and former VP Label Operations at Eyecon Music Group will be on hand to judge the finals on August 17th. Underride news: Each year Classic Rock Magazine selects bands from around the world to be included in their CD sampler of unsigned bands. The June issue is circulated to over 70,000 Classic Rock Magazine subscribers across the globe. CRM has selected “Say Goodbye To Everything That's Gone” from the album DISTORTED NATION, to be included.

Showcase Music Industries Signs Spokane Rock Band,
Seven Cycles, To Management and Record Deal

SEATTLE, Washington (February 14, 2011) Rock sensation, Seven Cycles, of Spokane Washington, has inked a management and record deal with Showcase Music Industries (SMI) and its label imprint, EPI-Records over the weekend, announced SMI’s CEO/President, John Elder.

“SMI’s signing of Seven Cycles adds a great talent to our artist roster and is the first step as we expand into different markets across the country in 2011,” said Elder regarding today’s announcement.

EPI-Records will produce Seven Cycles upcoming Album, which is due for release in the Spring of 2011. The deal also includes international distribution throughout all digital stores.

SMI Scores Big at Tulalip Resort Casino

SMI had a very successful event at Tulalip Resort Casino last Wednesday. It started early afternoon with sold out Private Band Consultations with Beau Hill, co-founder of Interscope Records, and six SMI bands. Then, Izzy Gleason and Aaron Balsley of Riverbend performed an acoustic set to a gathering of local Seattle musicians, hotel guests, and Beau Hill in the mPulse lounge. Beau then spoke to a sold out crowd at SMI’s first Industry Seminar, "Beau Hill Knows Music", which was informative to all who attended. After a successful day, the night ended on the highest possible note as Underride and Superfekta performed to a standing room only crowd in Canoes Cabaret, where there was a line waiting to get in because the room had reached its capacity. Underride started the performance and rocked the house with songs off there newest release “Distorted Nation”, now available online at Showcase Music Industries' store located at www.showcasemi.com. Superfekta followed with an outstanding performance of their own, playing their staple hits "Almost" and "Decade Past" to the capacity crowd, which included approximately 200 loyal friends and family. Joining Superfekta on stage were special guests, Wes, guitarist for Nether, and Spencer, front man for Astrovan, for a couple of cover songs that were very popular to the capacity crowd. The Tulalip Manager said "the night was a huge success”.

It was a defining day for SMI and we would like to give special thanks to Beau Hill for taking time out of his busy schedule to come to Seattle. SMI would also like to thank Underride & Superfekta for stellar performances, Izzy and Aaron for playing a great acoustic set in the mPulse Lounge, and to all the bands and musicians who attended the private consults and seminar. Finally, a very special thank you to Tulalip Resort Casino for providing a world-class venue for our Industry Day. We are extremely proud of everyone involved and we look forward to the brightest of futures for our SMI family.

Rock Showcase at Hard Rock Café Seattle
Urban Collapse, Underride and Superfekta played to a close to sold out crowd at The Hard Rock Café on Friday, Jan 21st. A special thank you to the HRC staff for all their help with this successful night! It was an honor to have Don Dodge, who is currently the sound engineer for Foreigner and who has worked with Paul Rodgers and Bad Company, Michael Jackson and Bonnie Rait, help with sound for Underride. Also in the crowd that night were Ben The Psycho Muppet of KISW’s The Men’s Room, plus members of Syztem 7, Nether, The Flanagan Precept, Astrovan, Riverbend and Pretty Enemy! Arkansas and The River Bandits with SMI artists Riverbend and Midstokke had the crowd partying hard on Saturday, Jan 22nd. Seattle rock band, RIVERBEND signs management and record deal with Showcase Music Industries

SEATTLE, Washington (December 22, 2010) Showcase Music Industries (SMI) announced today that they have signed Seattle rock band, Riverbend. Under their umbrella, SMI will manage, book live shows, and produce & distribute Riverbend’s much-anticipated second album under the SMI imprint EPI-Records due for release in early 2011.

Riverbend garnered accolades by winning a local radio KZOK contest for “Best Local Band” and were also finalists in local television KING 5 “Best of Western Washington”. They have quickly become fan favorites in the Seattle area having shared the stage with the likes of The Presidents of the United States and Daughtry.

SMI Updates for November and December

It’s been a busy several weeks with our SMI family! Road trips through snow storms, Texas coming to town and some unfortunate network crashes.

We’re moving into 2011 with some exciting shows and upcoming ventures! A big show tonight and one tomorrow, see below for details.

Here are just some of the things our hard working SMI family has been up to the last couple months…

Superfekta breaks attendance record at Ace's Casino!
Superfekta played a Fan Appreciation show at Ace's Casino on Nov. 13. Josh, owner of Ace's Casino, said they broke the all time attendance record! The guys played for several hours and the energy level never waivered. They also introduced some new merch into the mix, including Shot Glasses, Beanies, Guitar Picks and Stickers. You'll be sure to see signs of Superfekta all over Snohomish County!

The Flanagan Precept rocks The Jet!
That same night, a little further south in Mill Creek, The Flanagan Precept joined by Counterfist and Urban Collapse rocked The Jet in Mill Creek on Saturday night. TFP, a huge contributer to the success of live music at The Jet, did what they do best. Music and vocals were spot on and the floor was packed when they finished the night, joined by Ol Small, with Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name Of". They provided a stellar light show to fans and the other bands. Thanks TFP for a great night!

Great night at Hayley’s!
Superfekta, Urban Collapse, Midstokke and Road 20 played to a packed house at Hayleys on Friday, November 19th. Energy was high and everyone had a great time! Also, special thanks to the guys in Arisen From Nothing and The Flanagan Precept for coming and supporting the show!!

Texas comes to WA!
John, Lisa and the guys in Underride braved the elements and headed to Spokane the week of Thanksgiving for a show at The A Club with Seven Cycles and Texas Hippie Coalition. It was a killer show with close to 200 people and almost beat out Trapt across the street in numbers! They all made it back to play Studio 7 the next night with Syztem 7 and Arisen From Nothing to another 200 rock fans! One lucky ticket holder won a Dean Guitar signed by the members of Texas Hippie Coalition.

Tacoma Rock Showcase!
Euphoria Productions had their first show in Tacoma at Hells Kitchen on Dec. 4th. Syztem 7, Arisen From Nothing, Mechanism and Unhailoed put on an excellent rock show! These are definitely bands to keep your eyes on!

Upcoming Shows:
Joey Gepner Memorial Concert, Tonight!
At the end of October, the guys in Superfekta tragically lost a close friend and fan. They are playing a Memorial Concert tonight with all proceeds going to Joey’s family. Tickets are $10! Head to Mirkwood in Arlington tonight to see Midstokke and Superfekta in honor of a great guy who will be missed!

TFP and Nether at Ace’s
The Flanagan Precept and Nether will play a FREE show at Ace’s Casino in Smokey Point on Saturday, Dec. 18th. It’s an 18+ show until 11pm. You won’t want to miss this show, these bands are solidifying their place in the local rock scene!

Rock Showcase at Hard Rock Café!
Euphoria Productions and SMI will start off 2011 with a Rock Showcase event Hard Rock Café Seattle. Underride, Superfekta and Urban Collapse will perform on Friday, January 21st. AS THE PHOENIX RISES, SO DOES ARISEN FROM NOTHING

OCTOBER 26, 2010 (SEATTLE, WA) – Arisen From Nothing (AFN) has taken flight and will only continue to soar higher and higher with claiming the title of KING 5’s Best of Western Washington Local Bands for 2010. Saturday, October 23, at the Snoqualmie Casino, Arisen From Nothing shared the stage with the other top nominated bands for this year’s contest. They were Spike and the Impaler’s, Everyday Jones, VIII Days Clean, and Cavernous Groove. “It was an honor to be on stage with such great bands!” exclaims, Troy Elmore, guitar for AFN. Special thanks go out to Bob Rivers, KING 5’s Evening Magazine, Snoqualmie Casino and of course AFN’s fans.

Arisen From Nothing is a Snohomish County based, hard rock band. Since its inception in October 2008, AFN has been forging a name for themselves with a growing fan base, steady shows, recording and touring. AFN is managed by Showcase Music Industries and is currently in the studio writing for their next album set for release early 2011 under the EPI-Records record label.

Seattle based rock band UNDERRIDE inks deal with Showcase Music Industries

Seattle, WA October 22nd, 2010: Showcase Music Industries announced Friday its new agreement with Seattle-based rock band UNDERRIDE. Through a newly formed partnership, SMI will now manage live shows and touring to coincide with new releases from the band

Under the EPI-Records imprint, UNDERRIDE is scheduled to release it’s EP of new material this winter. The new songs will be supported by radio promotions, live touring online web campaigns and television ads. This multi-faceted agreement allows UNDERRIDE to receive booking, touring, distribution and other record release related services under one umbrella, Showcase Music Industries.

AFN and Road 20 command attention in Yakima!
SMI Bands Arisen From Nothing and Road 20 shared the stage in Yakima Labor Day weekend. Members from both bands said they had a great time and they are looking forward to performing together again! AFN also played at the Grail in Idaho on September 4th. They will join Seven Cycles in Spokane for a Halloween show on October 30th.

Studio Seven was Rockin!
Euphoria Productions had their first Seattle Rock Showcase and it was Rockin! Urban Collapse, The Flanagan Precept, Superfekta, Riot In Rhythm and Pretty Enemy played to a crowd of almost 300 last Friday night. Riot In Rhythm debuted their Music Video for “What I’ve Become” to their own crowd of 100 fans. It was one of our best shows yet and we can’t wait to get some of these talented bands on the same stage again!

Superfekta Won at Seattle Mist game!
Even though the Seattle Mist lost against the LA Temptation, Superfekta came away with a great win! They played the 1st ever Tailgaiting Party for the LFL last Friday in front of a whole new crowd of fans. Don’t miss them at the final home game at the ShoWare Center in Kent on October 8th.

It seems fitting for a band named after a win at the races has been asked to play at the largest Horse Racing Venue in Washington State. Welcome Home Team
John, Lisa and Jessica just got back from a “mini” tour to Eastern WA and Idaho. SMI signed band Road 20 rocked the stage with Sex and Violins featuring Lynn Sorensen, bassist for Bad Company, Seven Cycles of Spokane and Fill the Silence of Wenatchee. We made some good contacts and hope to work our hard working bands into the larger venues for maximum exposure! So work hard folks and earn your spot in the premium venues!

Paradise City
We are gearing up for two shows this week with Adler’s Appetite. VIP tickets are moving fast. Adler has called into both KZOK and KISW the last couple weeks and John and Karen are personally took him to in-studio appearances on the Morning Shows at KZOK and KISW. Online ticket sales have been moderate, venues are reporting people asking for tickets and all major radio stations are airing commercials! Keep selling tickets through the show and we are sure to have an amazing turnout! Rock On!

JUST ANNOUNCED! Superfekta selected as “Tailgating Band for the LFL Seattle Mist”
After being recommended by KISW, Superfekta has been invited to be the Exclusive Band to play the Tailgating Parties at the Lingerie Football Leagues opening game this Friday, featuring Seattle Mist vs. Los Angeles Temptation. Party starts at 5pm, Superfekta plays at 7:15 and Game starts at 9. All will be held at the ShoWare Center in Kent. This is a huge opportunity for the guys and they could even get air time on MTV2! Touchdown and extra point for Superfekta and SMI!

Reality Star Steven Adler is coming to town
We are gearing up for our two upcoming August shows with Adler’s Appetite, featuring Steven Adler, original drummer of Gun’s and Roses. Adler, who was also featured on Celebrity Rehab has just released a book called My Appetite for Destruction. Last Monday, Adler was a call-in guest to BJ Shea and the Morning Experience on KISW to promote the book release. Also playing with Adler is Sex and Violins, featuring Lynn Sorensen, current bassist for Bad Company, Dirty Hollywood, a Motley Crue Tribute Band, Anchored and More. Rock Showcase at the Hard Rock Cafe
Euphoria Productions, Concert promotion division of SMG, co-produced a show with The Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle on Friday, July 23rd. Tsavo, Your Divine Tragedy and Riverbend played a "hard-rockin" show in front of a packed house of over 300. Fun was had by all, even our employees!

EPI-Records has just announced that they have officially registered with Nielsen SoundScan. This partnership provides distribution strategy & execution, performance tracking & measurement, forecasting & trends among many other specialized resources for SMG signed bands. Among the many benefits Nielsen SoundScan has to offer, most important to our bands is these numbers are reported to Billboard Charts. We understand the power of these numbers when Major Labels are looking at an unsigned band.

EPI-Records Releases Brand-New Superfekta EP
With the help of Karen Mason-Blair, Photographer, Brandon Busch, Producer and Ira Merrill, Designer, Superfekta's "So Much" EP premiered to a packed crowd at this years Aquafest. The team sold over 50 units combined. These EP's, it's rockin' package design and high-quality song recording, are bound to generate a whole new fan base for Superfekta. I've seen it, I've heard it, it's on repeat in my car!

Aquafest in Lake Stevens
SMG signed bands, Arisen From Nothing, Tsavo and Superfekta played the North Cove Stage at this years Aquafest in Lake Stevens on Saturday, July 24. What's better than an outdoor stage, right by the water? Not much! Superfekta headlined the night with special guests "The Fish" Jeff Aaron from KJR and Steve "The Thrill" Hill from the Men's Room on KISW. They joined the guys on the song Man In The Box. Kevin Peterson, lead singer of The Flanagan Precept also joined in to sing Plush. Superfekta, sang 5 original songs off their brand new EP, "So Much" in front of a crowd of close to 2,000.

Superfekta News
Superfekta just recently renewed their contract with Showcase Management Group. After performing with Steve "The Thrill" Hill at Aquafest, band members received news they were mentioned at length on Monday, July 26th, during Men's Room broadcast. Kyyle, Guitar player for Superfekta says..."It was an amazing shout out. He (The Thrill) said it was an honor to play with Superfekta and we should call him when we play Key Arena cause that's where we're headed. He gave specific shout-outs to Janice and her crew and the sponsors. He also talked about the EP at length." Great job guys and the doors just keep opening for you!!
